and handles the consignment sale and exhibition of his work.
To give form to unseen feelings, and to kindle a light of hope in the hearts of those who see my work. That is the origin of everything I create. My given name is Mitsuhiko (光彦). The character 彦 (hiko) is said to mean "child of the sun," a child who radiates light. To shine like the sun and bring brightness to people: I realized this might be my calling, and with that feeling I chose the artist name 光日子, KOHIKO.
I work with an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, drawing each piece by hand and layering my feelings into every work.
Gratitude, hope, light, harmony, bonds, protection, love, wishes, and peace of mind. I paint these invisible feelings layered onto sacred geometry, ripples, and motifs from nature. I want to deliver paintings that never tire the eye, even when seen every day, and that bring a sense of calm the longer you look at them.
Giving form to feelings through intuition.Words are sound, sound is vibration, and vibration becomes form. This phenomenon, in which frequencies create patterns, is called cymatics. I hope the cymatics woven into my works will carry good vibrations to those who see them.
