"Red Horse Circle" is a painting I completed in 2026. Born from a certain connection and now in my own hands, I hope to deliver it anew, at my upcoming solo exhibition, to someone destined to receive it. For me, it is a piece of special meaning that confirmed the direction I should take.
The red horse: a powerful symbol that draws good fortune
The centerpiece is a single, majestic red horse. Since ancient times, the red horse has been regarded as a symbol of good fortune. This was the first horse I had ever painted, and I struggled considerably to capture its form and the single moment when it looks most noble. Yet as I built it up stroke by stroke, and a horse full of strength and dignity began to rise from the canvas, I felt a real sense of achievement.
A yellow and green background: colors chosen by intuition
I had not decided on the background color from the start. While I was considering what to use, yellow and green came to me intuitively, and I followed that intuition honestly. At first it felt a little unfamiliar, but looking at the finished painting, it is strangely easy on the eye, comfortable, and pleasant to view. This work reminded me once again that my intuition was right.
The 528 Hz cymatics circle: a resonance of love and harmony
The circle in the painting is a cymatics pattern created by the frequency of 528 Hz. 528 Hz is said to be the frequency of "love and harmony," and I layered the ripples its resonance creates as a symbol. Connecting fine lines one step at a time took far longer than I expected, but the vibration that rises from the finished work, something that speaks to the viewer, is truly special. The circle also represents good fortune and harmony connecting one after another and spreading outward.
The work that confirmed my direction
The strength of the red horse and the quiet resonance of the cymatics circle. When these two came together, I became certain: "This is exactly the direction I am aiming for." To give gratitude and harmony a visible form: for me, this is a milestone work that showed me the guiding principle for my future creations.
